Espact Media was present at the launch of Creative Youth Community Development Initiative (CYCDI)’s project titled “Solution 17” which also coincided with the launch of World Health Innovation Summit in Nigeria on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the Children International School, CIS Lekki, Lagos where seventeen changemakers were celebrated.

We interviewed experts and notable personalities like Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka, Nollywood actor Eddie Watson who is part of the project and the convener MS. Foluke Michael on the importance of innovation to Nigeria and African continent. Watch their responses below.
The launch of CCB-Art for SDGS -#Solution 17, was held in partnership with the Consulate General, Federal Republic of Germany; Robert Bosch Nigeria; the European Union and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, to curb the menace of drug abuse whilst raising awareness towards the actualisation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In an interview with Professor Wole Soyinka who rewarded the 17 changemakers by inviting them to his hideout in Abeokuta, he said; ‘these kids are the true definition of innovation.’


Eddie Watson and Ms Foluke also shared their thoughts how being creative and developing innovation solutions can help African continent development.

Ms. Foluke explained also advised young Nigerian entrepreneurs.
