Woman Crush Wednesday : Our Woman Crush Is Oluwatoyin Sanni

This wednesday, our woman crush is a Nigerian amazon who  has continually proved that nothing is impossible to achieve, as far as  individuals stay focused on their goals, they will achieve all at the set time.

She is no other than Mrs Oluwatoyin  F. Sanni , a  notable CEO, Stockbroker, Investment Banker, Author, Public Personality And Speaker who is currently the  Chief Executive Officer  of Emerging Africa Capital Group and formerly the  Group CEO Of United Capital Plc, a leading African investment-banking group, which provides capital and financing solutions to African government, companies and individuals.

Born into a family of seven to an accountant and a Businesswoman, Toyin studied law at the Obafemi Awolowo University and graduated at the age of 18.

She got her Two Law Degrees from the Obafemi Awolowo University and the University of Lagos. She has other diplomas from Harvard University and Lagos Business School. She worked in the Ministry Of Justice as a Prosecutor before moving on to Investment Banking for 18 years.

Her previous roles included being the CEO of UBA Trustees, CEO Of UBA Global Investor Services, The Managing Director And CEO Of Cornerstone Trustees And AGM at First Bank of Nigeria Trustees, a part of the FBN Holdings Group.

She has written two books titled “Yes, You Too Can Maximize Your Life” and “Yes, You Too Can Get To The Top”. Toyin has served for eight years as the CEO of Cornerstone Trustees (CTL), a Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries And Administrator, Nigeria (ICSAN) and President of the Association of Corporate Trustees Nigeria (CTN) and the Association of Investment Advisers and Portfolio Management (IAPM).

She is a frequent Speaker at Conferences such as the Howard University, USA and Imperial College, UK African Business Conferences, The Global Custody Forum, Network Managers Conference, World Intellectual Property Organization African Conference amongst others. She was the African Business Woman of the Year at the All African Business Leader Award (AABLA 2017) by CNBC Africa and also the First Female to win the PEARL Award for the Most Outstanding CEO in 2017.

Mrs Sanni  is a Member of Women in Finance Initiative, established in 2016, a networking platform that give voice for financial empowerment of women. She delights in grooming future leaders and propelling capital solutions for financing and investment challenge of African government, business and individual.

Just last month, Toyin revealed her plan to leave United Capital Plc where she served for eight years as the Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer to focus on facilitating investments in Africa.

Toyin is simply a superwoman  with a strong passion  to make positive  impact in not  only  her country but the world at large.
