Akindele-Bello Olufunke Ayotunde was born (August 24, 1977). A Nigerian film producer and actor better known as Funke Akindele or Jenifa is from this country. From 1998 until 2002, Akindele played the title role in the sitcom I Need to Know. In 2009, she was honored with the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Lead Role. She became famous for her impeccable performance in the film Jenifa, which gave her the Name Jenifa.

Funke Akindele was born in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria. She is the middle kid of three (two girls and one boy). Her father is a former school principal, and her mother is a medical doctor. The People’s Democratic Party (Nigeria) nominated Funke Akindele to run for the position of deputy governor of Lagos in the impending 2023 elections. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, better known by his stage as Jandor, stated that the actor will enhance his chances of winning the gubernatorial election in 2023. In order to support her nomination, the actor declared that she would be running for the position of deputy governor and that her acting career would have to be “necessarily put on hold.”

Funke Akindele runs a non-governmental organization known as the Jenifa Foundation, which aims at providing young people with vocational skills, she has held several outreach empowering many young people across the southwestern region or Nigeria.
Funke Akindele has endorsement contracts with companies like Dettol and Irokotv, where she is appointed as an ambassador. She signed on with Keystone Bank as a brand ambassador in 2018. She inked an endorsement agreement with WAW Nigeria, a business that makes detergent and bar soap, in November 2019.

Funke Akindele got married to Adeola Kehinde Oloyede on May 26, 2012. Citing irreconcilable differences, the couple filed for divorce in July 2013. In May 2016, Funke Akindele wed Nigerian rapper JJC Skillz in London. In August 2017, her alleged pregnancy was one of the most popular searches on Google. In December 2018, Funke Akindele gave birth to twin sons, and she also has other stepchildren.
In Nigeria, her film Omo Ghetto just surpassed the four-year record held by Kemi Adetiba’s film “The Wedding Party” to become the highest-grossing movie of all time.

The movie made N468,036,300 in January 2021, according to a statement released by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN), after holding the top rank for 3 weeks in a row.
