The American government has recently declared that it is hoping to see Ghana as one of its stronger partners in the fight against global terrorism and also the improvement of bilateral trade.
US ambassador to Ghana, Robert P. Jackson, in an address to commemorate America’s 241st Independence and also the 60th anniversary of relations with Ghana revealed that his country was ever ready to partner Ghana in trade relations and also ensure that both countries benefit from their bilateral ties.
Dr. Barffour Adjei-Bawuah, Ghana’s ambassador to the US, presented his letters of credence to Donald J. Trump; and they both posed for a Kodak moment, beaming with smiles. Which is an awesome aign because we all know Trump doesn’t smile that often.
The ceremony took place at the White House in Washington DC. Dr. Barffour Adjei-Bawuah was part of several other ambassadors recently appointed by president of the republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo.
The presentation made by the ambassador follows recent deportations of Ghanaians from America following the strict immigration laws by the US president. So far, Donald Trump is yet to reveal his plans for Ghana and the entire African continent as reports shows that America is bound cut down some aid from Africa.
