A United States Medical Centre has recently appointed Dr. Ijeoma Akunyili is the new Chief Medical Officer of their health facility.

Dr. Ijeoma is the first daughter of the late Dora Akunyili who was the former director general of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration Control and ex-minister of information.

According to the facility’s MD, he described her as a great asset to the team and also spoke of her experience in managing multi-specialty physician groups in integrated health care systems.

Her wealth of experience was no doubt. As she also has not only vast leadership experience but also advocacy experience.
