This South African Teen Becomes First African To Win Bronze Model At Maths Olympiad

Kgaogelo Bobape a grade 12 pupil of Horizon international school, South Africa has managed to work away with a bronze model at the International Mathematical Olympid (IMO).

The Olympic was set to be hosted in Russia but prior to the pandemic, young maths geniuses from all around the world took part in it.

“Well done to our very own Kgaogelo Bopape on being the first African Learner to receive a bronze model at the 61st International Mathematical Olympiad held in Russia. Thankyou for making Horizon School proud and South Africa”.

kgoagelo who hails from Soweto didn’t just win the noble price he has also made history by becoming the first African to ever get a medal bronze in the IMO. He has definitely made African very proud with this achievement.
