Nigeria’s Victoria Adeleke Gets Full Scholarship To Study Medicine In Texas University

We love looking out for African youngsters attaining great milestones within the continent and beyond, so we can delightfully tell their success stories and inspire our youths and entrepreneurs . Today we celebrate 17 year old Victoria  Adeleke who was recently awarded $250,000 a full scholarship to study medicine in Texas Christian University (TCU) due to her high level of intelligence, focus and determination to impact lives positively.

Though born in Ireland, Victoria moved to the United States after completing her first year of High School with her Nigerian parents,Mr and Mrs Adeleke family to continue her education.

Victoria’s interest in medicine was inspired by her best movie titled Grey’s Anatomy and she had since worked very hard on her grades to achieve her dream of studying her choice course. With her cumulative good grades, she got qualified to apply for TCU’s full scholarship after completing her high school.

The clever youngster got the full scholarship which exempts her from paying tuition, accommodation fees and educational materials fees for the next four years in the university through her high school. Victoria truimphed among numerous students who applied after passing through a rigorous selection process which include writing of comprehensive essay and extensive interview with mixed panel.

In high school, Victoria was an athletic trainer, she also loves to crochet and knit; skills she acquired in her high school as well.

Victoria’s interest in impacting lives positively made her engage in volunteering service constantly during summer. She also donates cozy winter hats, scarves and socks crochet by her to pre-mature babies at a local hospital.

On hearing the news which her family had intially kept from her, Victoria  was very excited and she couldn’t help but to burst into tears of joy.

According to Victoria’s sister Sara Adeleke who shared the news on her instagram page, Victoria plans to proceed to the medical school after her years in the university to specialise as a Cardiologist.

Victoria’s success story confirmed that when individuals work towards their dreams, they not only achieve it but also attract great opportunities.
