Nigeria’s Angela Okafor Wins Council Seat in Bangor, US

It’s amazing to write about numerous achievements of Nigerians in the diaspora tbis year and here is another one. US based Nigerian Lawyer Angela Okafor recently won a significant seat in Bangor City Council in the United States.

The excited Lawyer announced this in a post she put on facebook on Wednesday, November 6, she knocked on more than 1,000 doors to campaign for the election that brought her in.

She said that she is really grateful for the trust the people reposed in her as she approached them at every nook and cranny to table what she had to politically offer.

Okafor also said that she tried calling her daddy in Nigeria to inform him about the joyous news and how her life turned out much better than she bargained for.

She owns a law practice and a hair care business. Angela has also served on the bord of the Maine multicultural center and also lectured as a guest at the Eastern Maine Community College.

Added to those, she is a columnist at Amjambo Africa. She once won the Trailblazer award from Empower the Immigrant.
