Nigeria’s Akinwumi Adesina Wins Forbes’ African of the Year Award

Global media company, Forbes has honoured Nigeria’s Akinwumi Adesina who is currently the president of the African Development Bank (AfDB) with its African of the Year award. This is a great feat and must be celebrated.

Akinwumi was recognised for his works as the the president of AfDB , a bank created to eliminate poverty on the continent and to improve people’s conditions of living.

The bank is known as a significant provider to African nations and was established in 1964. The institution is made of three branches: the African Development Bank, the African Development Fund, and the Nigeria’s Trust Fund.

It has its headquarters in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire with 80 member countries.

This is an inspiring feat which confirms that putting ones best in ones craft will surely lead to one being celebrated.
