For her outstanding achievements and exemplary service to the society, we celebrate MO Abudu, a revered talk show host, TV producer, media personality, entrepreneur and philanthropist who was recently honored as the first Woman to launch a Pan African TV channel in Africa.
This is sure a magnificent way for her to kick start the new year. This award was presented to MO on the 1st of January by Mary Akpobome, Alibaba’s wife and former First Lady of Lagos, Mrs Abimbola Fashiola who was also in attendance at the Alibaba concert, in Eko hotel convention centre, Lagos.
In the light of her TV channel, Ebony life TV (Dstv channel 165) which was launched on the first of July 2013, and was immediately tagged Africa’s first Global Black multi-broadcast entertainment network MO Abudu was given a similar award by Forbes in 2013 and has since added several accolades to her professional belt.
Asides founding a multi-platform broadcaster TV channel, MO is the executive producer and talk show host of ‘Moments with Mo’, the first daily talk show on African regional television which is aired across 48 African countries and also the founder of The Inspire Africa Foundation, a non-profit organisation aimed at raising funds to implement the society’s transformations.
In her speech at the event, she expressed her gratitude at the honor and went further to state
“I dedicate this 1st January award to ebonylife TV team, my mum, sisters, kids, friends, partners, sponsors and our viewers that gave me so much support. God bless and keep you all”
MO Abudu has been known for her hard working and fl focused nature which led to her continuous massive success, you should emulate those attitude as well.
