At Espact today, our Woman Crush is Mo Abudu – a beautiful, intelligent and influential media personality. She is described by Forbes as “Africa’s Most Successful Woman”, Mosunmola Abudu, is a Nigerian media mogul, on-air personality, entrepreneur, philantropist and former human resources management.
Mo Abudu was born in the United Kingdom to a Nigerian family where she spent her first seven years until her family moved to Lagos, Nigeria. She attended Fiwasaye Girls Grammar School but completed her secondary school education in the UK where she attended Hammersmith Country Secondary School.
Mo had her college education in Westminister London where she obtained a masters degree in HR Management.
She was once married to Tokunbo Abudu, her estranged husband who she produced two children with – a boy and a girl.
The beautiful media personality started her career working as a recruitment consultant in the UK. She went on to work for Esso Exploration & Production Nigeria Limited (Now ExxonMobil) as the head of their Human Resources and Training unit. She left the company in 2000 to establish a specialist human resources development company- Vic Lawrence & Associates Limited (VLA).
Mo also started an executive training center at the Protea Hotel, Oakwood Park, Lagos at about the same time she set up VLA. She started EbonyLife TV in 2006. She is also the Executive Producer & Host of the favourite TV talk show “Moments with Mo“.
She is also the creator of The Debaters, a reality TV show funded by Guaranty Trust Bank.
Just recently, Mo Abudu was conferred with the Medailles D’honneur award in Cannes, France for her exceptional media content. And that is what makes her our Woman Crush on this week’s Wesnesday. She is a wonder woman with enviable and stellar achievements.
