Blessed with the wealth of choice is the name to be given to the incidence that befell a young,elegant and intelligent Nigerian named Ifeoma White-Thorpe who was accepted into all 8 Ivy League schools(Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, Princeton University, University of Pennsylvania and Yale University).
It was a shocker to the young lady whom was overjoyed by the acceptances..
“I was like,o my gosh..o my gosh..this might be eight out of eight..and I clicked it and it said “congratulations”, and I was like o my goodness!”.. White-Thorpe stated.
The 17 year old who is a senior and student government resident at Morris Hills High School in Rockaway.
She wants to major in biology and pursue an ambition in global health and therefore spoilt with choices at her disposal. Her parents reiterated that the choice was for her making on whatever school she chose.
This feat has happened to a couple of teens previously but this is an addition to the few Nigerians that have gotten such.
The eight schools are in the American elite group, so the young lad have lots of great choices to pick from but when asked about her choice she didn’t mice words on stating that she is yet to make her choice.
This good news is another milestone for Nigerians,Nigerians in diaspora and Africa as a whole…Congratulations Ifeoma!!
