Meet The 14 Year Old Girl Who Got Sworn In As Abia State Governor For Her Intelligence

A brilliant 14 year old SS3 student and senior perfect of Intellectual Giants Christian academy, Umuahia has just been handed the leadership reins of Abia state, making her the first teenage governor in Abia State.

The intelligent girl identified as Joy Ezechikamnayo, after emerging the best in a rigorous essay competition that lasted for more than a week became the Abia state governor for 24hours, a prize for coming first place in the maiden edition of the ‘Abia one day governor’ essay competition organised by the governor of Abia state, Dr, Okezie Ikpeazu.

A total of 20 student performers in the competition were awarded various leadership roles with the top three designated as Governor, Deputy governor and SSG respectively while the remaining 17 were made commissioners.

The 14 year old, alongside other selected members of her cabinet drawn from all local governments of Abia state underwent a leadership retreat to prepare them for their various leadership roles after being sworn in.

Her Excellency, Miss Joy, on her first official assignment, declared 12th of December the Abia teenage day, a day set aside for appreciating teenagers in the state.

She not only astounded everyone with her display of excellence and tenacity at the essay competition, her ascent to the role of a governor is the first of it’s kind in the state.
