We are always amazed when we see young minds like 11-year-old Ghanaian Erica Armah Bulu Tandoh exhibiting great talents like adults and we are happy to tell the world about it.
Popular as DJ Switch who is the youngest disk jockey in Africa. Her breakthrough came when she emerged as the 8th edition of TV3’s Talented Kidz, a Ghanaian Talent show for Kids which was held at the Ghana National Theater on Sunday, 7th May 2017 as she won the cash prize of GH10,000, education fund of GH6,000 and other souvenir from the sponsors.
Erica started her DJ career when she was 7. She is the second child and the only girl of her parents, Mr. Tandoh and Mrs. Lillian Oduro-Mensah. She lives with her family in Dadieso in the Western region of Ghana. She attends a junior college, Talented Royal International School at Weija in Accra. Her love for music as always been with right from when she was a little girl as she always disturbed her mother, Lillian to allow her make use of her earphone and that was then her mother noticed Erica’s DJ skills and decided to help her. She hired professional DJ trainer named DJ Fuad to groom her. Erica surprised her mother and her trainer on how fast she learnt and within months of training, she was ready.
Since then, Erica has been in the spotlight surprising a lot of people with her incredible DJ skills. She was invited as a special guest of honor at 2017 DJs Award at Silver Tower in Accra and she performed at the 2017 Ghana DJ Awards gala.
Apart from her skills as a DJ, Erica can rap, sing and dance. Her hope to become a Gynecologist to help women affected by different medical problems is quite touching and charming. But I believe that whatever she eventually becomes in the future, Erica will always be great as she is destined for greatness.
