Anthony Ebitimi Owei is the founder of Tonyve Farmland and ePoultry Nigeria.
He is an entrepreneur and agribusiness advisor who’s contributing to the development of the agriculture sector in Nigeria.
Anthony decided to act on his business after 2011/2012 East African drought to ensure it doesn’t happen again. In 2014, he set up Tonyve Farms, a company committed to enhancing food security, wealth creation and employment generation in Africa through the production of hygienic and quality farm produce.
Tonyve Farms produces chicken eggs, chicken meat, chicken manure (for crop farmers) and goat meat and also offers agro-based entrepreneurial development trainings. Tonyve Farms, which was recently rated one of the top 30 SMEs in Africa by the African Entrepreneurship Awards, Morocco is currently focusing on the poultry value chain with a vision of a food secure Africa where she plays a significant role as the largest and most diversified agricultural company.
Anthony also founded Nigeria’s first digital poultry investment platform called ePoultry.NG in February 2019. It is a digital agriculture platform that provides debt-free financing, technical skills and mentorship as well as market access to smallholder farmers. It also gives middle income earners access to grow their income via remotely investing in poultry farming without directly operating the farm.
Anthony Owei got award winning entrepreneur passionate in agriculture and technology, Obama Africa Leader, OKP Scholar, MBA Food Security candidate. Tonyve Farms has other numerous awards and recognition under her belt including from the Federal Government of Nigeria, Nigeria’s Bank of Industry and the Niger Delta Development Commission.
Anthony is still contributing his quota to food security and ensuring prosperity for Nigerians.
