MCM: Our Man Crush for Today is Chinedu Azodoh, Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer , Max.ng 

Today, we are crushing on Chinedu Adozoh, who isthe co-founder and chief growth officer of MAX.NG. His company MAX.NG is a technology company, building the infrastructure for last-mile mobility in Africa.

Chinedu studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management, where he earned a master’s degree in finance. Additionally, he holds bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering and computer engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

The $100 billion African transportation market is being built by MAX.ng, a pioneering mobility company with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa. MAX recently closed a $7.5 million fundraising round supported by Yamaha, Mastercard, Novastar Ventures, and Breakthrough Ventures, which is the largest fundraise by a mobility company in sub-Saharan Africa. 

Max.NG has some ideas, and they’re starting by giving commuters a new definition of what it means to travel.

Max.NG began in 2015 as a logistics partner for e-commerce businesses but has now changed course to focus on developing the technological and financial foundation for mobility in Africa with the goal of making motorbike taxis secure, affordable, and adaptable.

The overall goal of Max.NG is to address the mobility issues facing the continent by offering Africans a smooth transportation experience supported by cutting-edge technology and environmentally sustainable infrastructure. Max.NG provides real-time safety monitoring of the driver actions by installing instruments like gyroscopes and accelerometers on their bikes, guaranteeing that passengers and products arrive at their destinations without a hitch.

Chinedu has always been driven by a desire to improve life in Africa. He was accepted into the Jack Ma-led Alibaba eFounder Program, which was established by Alibaba. He was approved for the Mastercard Startpath program in 2018 and took first place in the LA CoMotion Mobility Competition. He was  selected as one of the 2019 Forbes Africa 30-under-30 in Business and Technology finalists.  

Despite the transportation challenges like the cost of fuel, cost of  fleet maintenance   poor traffic predictions etc. MAX. NG  works  towards  overcome them, while providing seamless transportation experience for commuters in Africa.
