Kechia Taylor Becomes Only Black Woman Franchisor In The Permanent Makeup Industry 

Kechia Taylor, a beauty entrepreneur and founder of Brows & Co Micro-blading Academy has become the only black woman Franchisor in the permanent makeup industry.

The permanent makeup industry is an industry that has been able to bring up cosmetic techniques which utilizes tattoo as a means of creating designs that resemble makeup

These designs include artificial eyebrows, eye lining, and also permanent enhancing colors to the skin of the face, lips and eyelids. It is an industry that is beginning to thrive as many people are now buying into the services.

The former spa owner, has over fifteen years of experience in the beauty industry. She started out as an esthetician, and was operating two beauty spa.

Kechia is now a licensed permanent makeup artist with over fifteen certification in permanent makeup and special techniques.

The beauty entrepreneur mentioned that her inspiration to delve into the permanent makeup industry was because of how it was transforming the lives of people with cancer and alopecia. Due to her background in oncology (a branch of medicine that deals with the study, treatment, diagnosis and prevention of cancer), it was easy for her to delve into the industry.

In an interview with BOTWC, Taylor spoke on what inspired her to franchise her business. She said Blacks have historically struggled to start their own business. Having created a proven business with systems, she asked herself, “why not help more people with an easier solution.”

She added that she is convinced her model will encourage other Black entrepreneurs and give them the confidence to start their own beauty businesses.

Kachia Taylor’s micro-blading academy has become the go-to franchise for beauty professionals. She also trains people in micro-blading and as provided a platform where students can build their beauty businesses in permanent makeup.
