Joy Eyisi Becomes NOUN’s First Female Deputy VC

Professor Joy Eyisi has just been appointed as the new deputy Vice Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN ).

This appointment has made Professor Eyisi who is the immediate past director of NOUN’s special study center located at the National assembly set record as the first female VC in the institution’s history.

The Anambra born, and native of Adazi-Ani Ocha local government, is a professor in English language. She has surprised everyone with the news of her victory.

The news was announced following the just concluded election of the vacant spot left by the expiration of former VC, Professor Patrick Eya’s tenure.

The event which was held yesterday, October 27,2017 at the NOUN headquarters in Abuja was attended by many dignitaries including V.C Abdalla Uba Adamu who expressed his confidence in the women community of the institution.

He said with assurance that the women in the community are some of the best in Nigeria.
