The year definitely started on a good note as the youths are yet again showing notable traits of excellence.
A 32 years old man identified as Augustine Otuokwa Ogah has just produced a hydro-electric power plant that generates electricity in Cross-river state.
This is not a model structure, this is apparently the actual thing! Isn’t this amazing.
The 32 year old graduate of electronic and computer technology is definitely putting his knowledge into good use by constructing a 200 mega watts mini hydro-electric power plant that generates electricity both for buildings where it is situated and the surrounding Mgbaeshuo village of Wula community, Eastern Boki, Boki local government, Cross-river state.
According to reports, Ogah was able to convert the kinetic energy of the flowing local stream into electric energy, with the aid of the hydroelectric power plant which he said to have built from locally sourced materials and equipment.
” The flow rate of the water is low because it is not a dam or a water fall, this is a small stream with low, flowing water, yet I was able to convert it to bring pressure and fall like a dam” he said, proudly showcasing his work.
News of his outstanding innovation came into limelight after it was aired by calabar reporters who got wind of this talented young man and his work.
Nigerians both at home and in diaspora have been commending him not only for his outstanding innovation but also for his selfless service in trying to improve the standard of living for his community.
Well Done Ogah. We Celebrate You!
