Inspiring Story of Mbali Masike: From Wine Tasting to Wine Making

South African lady, Mbali Masike tasted wine reluctantly at age 18 and since then fell in love with it to the point that she graduated to making wines.

Mbali Maseko, a trailblazer in the South African wine industry, defied the odds by establishing Nginyi Mbali wines, a new brand inspired by the vines of Paarl in the Western Cape. Despite the industry being dominated by men, Maseko’s wines have made a name for themselves in the South African market.

Nginyi Maseko’s childhood dream was to establish her own winery. Her passion for wine began at the age of 18 when she tasted her first bottle and was inspired by the maker, Robert Fraters.

She sought out a mentorship with Robert, which ultimately led to the creation of her own company, Nginyi Mbali wines. Growing up close to her successful businesswoman aunt, Mamogolo, gave Nginyi the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the ups and downs of running a business. Additionally, her discipline and hard work in the corporate world helped her quickly rise to managerial positions. Nginyi has ambitious plans for the future of her company.
