Adja Sy, Senegalese entrepreneur made China the home of her business when she moved to China in 2012 to find success by leveraging WeChat which is now one of the largest social media platform in China.
She launch her business in China because China is one of the favourite destination for African businesses and enterpreneur and they largely engage in retailing of goods from China to Africa.
WeChat has been pushing its in- app payments to mobilise – optimized digital stores to draw business . It has more than 900m monthly users and WeChat is fantastic for entrepreneurs.

Few years later, she was interested in cosmetics and body care products then, she moved to Shanghai to get ingredient for body creams that suit her skin because she had use many product that whitens her skin, that is why she decided to start making her own cream products, first for herself and then for others
She started the natural skincare business in 2015 called Lalu and shared her product on WeChat. Adja Sy’s products are made with all-natural plant and fruit-based ingredients
Soon, people reached out to her to make enquires about her all-natural oils, scrubs and body creams and also place orders, this make a create a good impression in her and she decided to run Lalu for full time.

She started selling her products online and later followed it up with a clothing brand called Nubien. Adja Sy said “When you are wearing bright things people smile at you,”
So, using social media platform helps your business starting from the concept, market research, the details, the design, and it also move your business to a greater growth and achievement.
