Sashe Ivy is the founder of a Black woman-owned construction firm called Pink Hard Hatz Construction, the largest female minority construction company in Chicago.

The firm was built by Sashe Ivy with the purpose of breaking barriers in the male-dominated industry while delivering the best service to all its patrons.

The serial entrepreneur mentioned that in her 15 years of experience in the real estate and construction industry, she had mostly seen men in the field. According to statistics from the U.S. Bureau of Labour Statistics, women only make up about 11% of construction workers.

In alignment with the quote that says “what a man can do a woman can do better”, ivy decided to step up and create the change.

Pink Hard Hatz construction, specializes in commercial an residential improvement project. They specialize in bathrooms, basements and kitchens. Their work also involves building tools, sidings and more for commercial and residential industries.

The entrepreneur and business woman said her goal is for Pink Hard Hatz Construction to be in all 50 states.
