Ghana’s Fashion Entrepreneur, Selina Beb Is Making Africa Proud In The US

Your work, they say, will speak for you. Award-winning Ghanaian designer, Selina Beb has carried the flag of Ghana and African high in the fashion world as she showcased her latest collection the ‘Kente Collection’ at the New Orleans Fashion Week in the United States.

The Fashion Week is a platform with a driving force that unites fashion professionals in a series of high-end runaway shows, presentations, pop-up boutique, networking opportunities and social experience.


The inspiration of the Collection, ‘Kente’ was from the Creative Director and CEO of the brand, Selina Bebaako-Mensah. She designed a collection that reflected African’s true beauty, culture and identity. Selina was later joined by a good number of designers and fashionistas for the eighth edition of the New Orleans fashion Week at the finale show.

The Kente Collection featured handbags in different accessories and variations which were handmade with the authentic woven Kente fabric embellished with colorful beads.

She was recently awarded at the Bi-Annual European and International Women Inventors (EIWIIN) in Italy and has showcased in major fashion shows including African Fashion Show in London and Glitz African Fashion Week. She is a true representation of Africa with her unique designs.
