Folasade Bamisaye, founder of My Period Kit, an enterprise that is concerned with preserving menstrual hygiene among sexually mature girls in rural areas especially has been nominated to represent Nigeria at the Chivas Venture Global Finals which is set to hold in Amsterdam in May 2018, at the TNW conference.
After emerging winner at the Nigerian finals, the all time entrepreneur, for her outstanding innovation of sanitary pads made from banana stems would be competing on behalf of the nation, going head to head with other entrepreneurs around the globe and having a chance to present in front of international tech-addicts, investors and media.
My PeriodKits is an enterprise that deals with the production of sanitary pads made from banana stems and easily affordable by women of low income and the less privileged, thus ensuring their hygiene and dignity, and keeping them healthy through out the menstrual period.
