Espact, 99 Women Led Businesses Get Flourish Africa N2M Seed Grant

Flourish Africa, a  women empowerment movement founded by Apostle  Folorunso Alakija, Nigerian billionaire businesswoman and philanthropist  awarded Espact along side ninety nine other businesses a two million Naira seed fund each to help grow our businesses on Sunday, July 17th, 2022.

Espact was  represented by Temitope Balogun, our  founder and Lead Consultant  who participated in the  Flourish Africa Business and Life Skills Training; a twelve weeks rigorous virtual training that will enable participants to unleash their potentials and harness them to the  fullest.

The scheme which was launched to serve as a catalyst for female empowerment and development, clocked 5 years and held its first grant award ceremony on   Sunday, 17th, July 2022. 

The five hundred (500) women led businesses  shortlisted out of 13,895 applications recieved were exposed to world-class coaching and business mentoring from industry experts, including Apostle Alakija herself.

While speaking during the live mentorship session, she urged the women to support one another and exhorted the importance of passing on the lessons they had gained. “Business is God’s Business,” she remarked, emphasising the need to “place God first in business,” explaining that it was the key to her success as an entrepreneur.

At the end of the training, 100 audacious beneficiaries out of the 500 female entrepreneurs that participated in the training were awarded grants of 2 million naira each for business support.

In addition, the graduates will also be inducted into the prestigious Flourish Africa Alumni association, which has been positioned to become a knowledge and expertise powerhouse for African female-owned businesses.

Espact made it to the top 100 and went home with the 2 million grant award. It’s indeed a big win for our organization.
