In a bid to help promote safe sex and also HIV awareness, Felicite Luwungu has shocked everyone with her bizarre yet exciting clothing line made entirely from condoms!
With the desire to inspire people with her creations to create more awareness on the importance of safe sex, the 40 year old started her fashion line in 2015 after losing loved ones to the dreaded HIV/AIDS.
Undeterred by mockeries from people in the society, this fashion designer is slowly but surely passing her message across through displays of her work in runway shows and exhibitions.
Her designs include fashionable evening gowns and took, each in different designs and are modelled on the runway. She plans to exhibit her entire collection at large this year in a fashion shoe army Kinshasha.
“what motivated me to use condoms to design dresses was people living with HIV virus and I wanted to send a message through my creations and create awareness for people to protect themselves” she said.
The citizens have expressed mixed feelings towards her creations, ranging from shock to calm acceptance and have even shown support to her cause.
