Channels Television, a trusted Nigerian media firm owned by renowned broadcaster, John Momoh has once won the Nigerian Media Merit Award (NMMA) for the Best Television Station of the Year, setting exceptional record as this would be the 12th time they clinched this award.
At the award ceremony held in Lagos on Wednesday, 13th of December, the TV station was presented the award based on its media excellence which has been recognized both within the nation and internationally.

The television station with audience of over 20 million people first bagged this prestigious award in the year 2000 and has since repeated this feat for 12 years, till date.
Channels television is one of the most popular broadcast centres in the nation. Gimba Umar, an ace TV presenter and broadcaster of the station was presented the award for the Best TV presenter of the year 2017 at the ceremony, based on his media excellence and outstanding ability to relate the thought of the nation’s leaders and government to the people with ease and vice versa
