British-Nigerian, Sade Agboola Establishes All Female Taxi Firm

A creative British-Nigerian mom has just set up a taxi firm for women only. This firm will not only employ women, the passengers will be strictly women and children.

Nigerian born Sade Agboola who is London based decided to set up a means to provide safe commuting for women, an alternative means to minicab services and public transport as a result of the constant complaints from women who have had to face harassment from men especially late at night.

” I am amazed that no one else have thought of this idea before. Although a lot of mums have children and struggle to get back into work or find a job that gives them that flexibility and hopefully by having women-only drivers and guardians, we can provide a flexible and supportive environment for them” she said.

The idea to set up ‘Annissa car’ was born when the popular Uber cab service faced challenges as a result of the company ‘s ineffectual approach in reporting criminal offences and poor background check on drivers leading to its ban in the state.

The birth of Annissa came at a much needed moment where working moms would have had to commute their kids to and from school with public transport.

“It is quite entrepreneurial but I never really thought of it. I had the idea a couple of years ago and since December 2016 I have been doing a lot of research and work to put it together” she stated.

The business has since grown considerably since the moment of it’s conception and has been enjoying increased patronage with a lot of its customers leaving positive reviews on the taxi’s website for their excellent service.

Well Done Sade Agboola!
