Awori College wins Copa Coca-Cola

In Lagos state, Awori College, in Ojo constituency , have emerged as winners of the 2015 Copa Coca-Cola Football tournament, defeating Egan Grammar School 2-1 in a keenly contested final at the Dairy Farm Secondary School, Agege.

Punch reported that the  winners were given the competition trophy and also smiled home with N200,000.In the third place match, Ifako Comprehensive Grammar School defeated Agidingbi High School by a lone goal.

Egan and Ifako went home with N100,000 and N50,000 respectively, drawing the curtains on the 2015 Copa Coca-Cola tournament.

certificates were also presented to the highest goal scorer, Farouk Adeleye of Awori College; the Most Valuable Player, Samson Makinde of Agidingbi Grammar School and goalkeeper, Ejeh David, of Awori College, who won the Golden Gloves award.

The Senior Brand Manager, Colas, at Coca-Cola Nigeria, Gbolahan Sanni, observed that watching the pupils develop, was akin to watching a rose bloom.

Sanni said, “The students came to the tournament with raw talent and it has been quite an experience seeing the changes in them. That is what Copa Coca-Cola is about and that is why the tournament is close to our hearts.”
