In Lagos, the 40 fellows who made up the first cohort of the Astra Fellowship for Young Leaders of Tomorrow just graduated recently.
Software engineers, technology experts, innovators, and creatives are the target audience for the fellowship.

When the 40 graduating fellows started a one-month training, Bode Pedro was thrilled and honoured to be a part of it as it was led by the assistant coach, Dr. Kenneth Ikenwa, and assistant head coach, Dr. Bamidele Oshinowo, both well-known educators and seasoned executives, and drawing from Pedro’s recent experience as a graduate of the Programme for Leadership at Harvard Business School.
They painstakingly designed the curriculum to focus on three key principles: mastering yourself, becoming an authentic leader, and developing your career or your venture.

Pedro, who is also the founder and CEO of Cassava Inc., Nigeria’s first 100percent digital insurance company, stated in his keynote address that the event was meant to be a special moment to honour the exceptional young Nigerians who set out on a transformative journey to create value and have a long-lasting impact on their community.

He went on to say that Astra Fellowship was founded with the clear goal of empowering highly accomplished young innovators by giving them the tools and resources they need to grow as leaders, set out on purpose-driven journeys, and eventually experience remarkable success similar to Uche Pedro’s.
