8th Grader Born Without Legs Makes School Basketball Team 

Josiah Johnson born without legs has gone against all odds and proven to the world that nothing is impossible, by making his school basket ball team.

Josiah Johnson, is an 8th grader of Moore Middle school in Louisville, Kentucky. Although born disabled, he has been playing basketball since kindergarten.

The 8th graders love for the game earned him a spot on the schools basketball team. He became a member of the team after he succeeded at all the tryouts.

“It’s something I had to do,” Josiah said in reference to playing basketball. “I don’t want you doubting me because I don’t have legs. I want to show you that I’m just as human as you, and just as good as you are, if not better.” he started in an interview with WKLY.

His coach Daquan Boyd in a statement, mentioned that Josiah was a brilliant addition to the team. The coach added that Josiah shows up every day and also runs when the team has to sprint.

Josiah and his team have been tagged winners as they have tasted victory frequently by winning against their competitors in basketball competitions.

The disabled athlete has been an inspiration to anyone that came in contact with him. His great positivity and determination has strong point of motivation for everyone has he would always say that no matter what stood in his way, being on the team was something he wanted to do.

Now Josiah Johnson has accomplished something that many without physical limitations couldn’t, and has proven to the world that legs aren’t needed to play basketball.
