KidsTech Africa is launching an edition of its annual African Young Innovators Challenge (AYIC) aimed at showcasing innovation and
creativity in the area of technology.
KidsTech Africa, an Innovative edutech organization is helping African Kids take advantage of the opportunities in the tech world. The vision is to build a generation of young people who will transform Africa’s tech ecosystem from being consumers of technology to innovators and producers.
The African Young Innovators Challenge (AYIC) is an annual contest that gives a platform to young African kids to showcase innovation and creativity in the area of technology. With the platforms, KidsTech Africa aims to promote the culture of innovations among African kids toward developing the continent using technology.
The Fast-growing Edutech company has been building kids to launch into the tech world by giving them hands-on training on how to use coding to solve problems innovatively. These kids are trained in Programming, Software & Hardware Engineering, IoT, AI, VR, and other technologies.
The company is focused on technology education for young Africans (aged between 6 and 15) and has helped train over 2000 kids in different communities in Nigeria with plans of extending to 2 more countries soon.
In a statement of a press conference which held recently by KidsTech Africa, Ishola Kayode, co-founder of the company emphasized the need for Africa to start developing technologies and catch up with advanced countries.
The African Young Innovators Challenge (AYIC) is movement to meet the technological development need, by showcasing innovation and creativity of Nigerian kids through the contest.
The contest is open to kids within the ages of 6-15 and has a grand prize of 5000USD. Innovations in the area of SECURITY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT would be considered.
The maiden edition of the contest will commence in the month of September 2021 where registration will be open. The grand finale where the top innovators will be unveiled will come up in November 2021.
