Inventors have been recognised in history for coming up with mind blowing inventions which has made the world global as it has made things easy for everyone. Some of these inventions were made by Nigerians but I bet that most people aren’t aware of it.
Permit me to say Nigeria is one blessed country with talented citizens, after reading this article you will be amazed to what Nigerians have invented over the years.
In this article we presented three inventions made by Nigerians and still in use till date.
Emergency Blood Transfusion System
The Emergency Blood Transfusion System is a low-cost blood transfusion system which has the ability to recover blood from a patient’s internal bleeding organs and then reinfuses the blood back into the patient’s blood system, thereby preventing blood loss. This device has saved many lives and is still counting.
This system was invented by Dr. Otu Oviemo Ovadje (Rtd), a Brigadier General in the Army. It has been designed to transfuse blood in a safe and non infectious manner and it can also work without electricity.
First Solid Fuel Rocket:
At such a young age (26), Shehu Saleh Balami invented and launched a solid-fuel rocket at the new Kaduna Millennium City Road in Kaduna State in 2008. He is a graduate of Mechanical engineering at the Federal University of technology Minna, Niger State.
Shehu Saleh came up with the idea of creating a rocket which could run on solid fuel and he was as well successful with it.
Fastest computer:
The world fastest and most efficient computer was actually invented by a Nigerian in the person of Dr. Philip Emeagwali.
Dr. Emeagwali carefully studied the efficient ways in which bees communicate and build honeycombs and decided to create a computer that could work that way.
The result was that he successfully combined 65,000 processors to invent the world’s fastest the computer, which performs computations at 3.1 billion calculations per second. And till date the computer is used in weather forecasting supercomputers features as well as computers which can predict global warming.
Nigerians have really proved that she is really the giant of Africa as these inventions are really mind blowing and as well have contributed to solving a particular problem in the country and beyond
